California and comparable state privacy rights, how to exercise them, and how quickly we respond.

TEMPLATE — REMOVE THIS BOX BEFORE PUBLISHINGThis page is a drafting starting point prepared from common industry practice. It is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by an attorney. Who this applies to

This notice applies to residents of California under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and we extend the same process to residents of other states with comparable privacy laws. [Counsel to confirm which state laws apply to your operations and whether the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act exemption covers some or all of your data.]

An important exemptionMuch of the information a lender holds is already regulated by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, which is exempt from parts of the CCPA. [Counsel must determine precisely which categories of your data fall inside and outside the exemption before this page is published.]

Do we sell or share your personal information?

[Complete after the counsel review above. State plainly whether you sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, including any disclosure to advertising partners or lead buyers. If you do not, say so directly.]

How to make a request

  • Online: our contact page
  • Phone: Contact us
  • Email: [email protected]
  • Post: Privacy Officer, Loan For Any Purpose, Contact details available on our contact page

We acknowledge requests within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days, extendable by a further 45 days where necessary, and we will tell you if we need the extension.

Verifying who you are

Because this information is sensitive, we verify your identity before acting on a request, usually by matching details you provide against our records. For requests to know specific pieces of information, we apply a higher standard of verification.

Authorised agents

An agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission signed by you, and we may still contact you directly to confirm.

Retention

Lending records must be kept for periods set by federal and state law, so a deletion request may not remove everything. Where we cannot delete, we will tell you which legal basis requires us to keep it.

Annual metrics

[Where required, publish the number of requests received, complied with in whole or part, and denied, with median response time, updated annually.]
